98 years ago, Enzo Ferrari drove his first race in Parma, Italy. Though he lost, coming in 4th place, his desire for speed and beautiful cars never ceased. This one event is the butterfly effect that leads to the selling of the first Ferrari sports cars in 1947.

Twenty-seven years ago today, German occupation rights were relinquished, allowing East and West Germany to slowly reunite. Though the WWII Allies gave up overseeing Germany years prior, this day was the formal declaration to relinquish the remaining rights.

If you were to ask me ten years ago if I liked football, I would say “Hell no.” Every year since then, I get a wee bit more excited about the start of the season. Still not a fan of NFL, but high school football and college football is tolerable. Happy Thursday!
